Rick, I just went on line to my latest Alzheimer’s fundraiser and saw the very generous donation provided, yet again, by the Teamsters Local 362. The ongoing support from the Teamsters is fantastic and I can’t thank you enough. Your organization has contributed not just money but also resources and personal time and energy to this cause. I remember well the very first walk/run in support of Alzheimer’s put on in Edmonton and the big semi-trailer and tractor with the mobile stage provided by the Teamsters to help stage the event. I also remember the many volunteers provided by your union for those early events. This is, of course, over and above the thousands of dollars contributed through golf tournaments, dinners, this pro-am, etc, you and the Local have provided over the years. It seems to me the Teamsters Local 362 have been involved with me and the Alzheimer’s Society for about 15 years or so, certainly making the Teamsters my longest continuous funder and contributor of the Alzheimer’s Society. I really can’t thank you enough for not only this year’s support but also the ongoing support from the Local. It means so much to all of us.
Please pass on my gratitude and thanks to not just the executive making your charity selections but also everyone in the Local for supporting this very worthy, and needy, cause.
