Can you believe it?? Summer is pretty much shot! There is new snow on the mountians, and the kids are back in school.
I guess the old saying "better late than never" applies to this news. Congratulations go out to two Teamster members from McMillan Transport named as February 2005 drivers of the month. Victor Christman from the Medicine Hat terminal was named Southern Alberta Driver of the month, and his co-worker Eric Smiley from the Leduc branch was named Northern Alberta Driver of the month. Good work guys!
We are saying goodbye to Brother Dave Kemp as he retires from his position with the Local Union . Brother Kemp has served as Business Agent and Vice President, as well as a Trustee on the Health and Welfare Plans, and has decided to embark on another journey in life. His last day at the office was July 31, and he was presented with a balloonagram from the Edmonton office staff, shown here with Brother Keith Norris who will assume the position of Vice President of the Local. We trust you join with us in wishing Brother Kemp every success in his retirement as he ventures forth to a new phase of life.
Brother Keith Norris was sworn in as Vice President at the recent Local Union Executive Board meeting held in Calgary on August 26th. We welcome Brother Norris to this new position and wish him every success in this new position. He will be retaining some of his former responsibilities as a Business Agent, as well as the new demands on his time as Vice President.
