Brother Rick Eichel has been a Member of General Teamsters, Local Union No. 362 since 1976.  He started his career as a Teamster working at Consolidated Concrete, that went on to become Inland Concrete.  In 1980, while on layoff from being a mixer operator Rick worked as a Teamster for ICG Propane.

After many years of hard work and dedication to the Union, Brother Eichel was hired on as a Business Agent in the Calgary office in February 1989.  He was responsible for many contracts. United Parcel Service, Car haul, Movies, Airlines, Concrete and Concrete Pipe to name a few.  In September 1991, he was appointed President of General Teamsters, Local Union No. 362 and was re-elected in each election thereafter.

His knowledge and enthusiasm gained him an appointment as Trustee on many of  Local 362 plans.  In January 2008 he became Chairman for the Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan and Prairie Teamsters Pension Plan, along with Local 362 Health and Welfare Plan and Local 362 Pension Plan.

Brother Eichel is also a delegate for the Canadian Council of Teamsters, Western Canadian Council of Teamsters, and Teamsters Joint Council 90.

In January 2008, Brother Eichel was appointed by the Executive Board as
Secretary-Treasurer, Principal Officer of General Teamsters, Local Union No. 362. During the same time period, he was elected as President to the Teamsters Joint Council 90 for the Prairie Provinces, and therefore is also a Member of Teamsters Canada 's Executive Board .

Rick was born in 1956 and is happily married to Sandra.  He is the proud father of four, one daughter and three sons. His hobbies include, physical fitness and riding motorcycles.
