Business Agents Ken Krawchenko and Rick Prouty attended the Canadian Building Trades Policy Conference in Ottawa where they had the opportunity to discuss construction issues affecting workers across Canada. There were many resolutions passed. The resolution for Support for the Canadian Forces Liaison Council, concerning Military Leave for employees in the organized construction industry was very well received by all in attendance.

- First Student – Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere and Strathmore – waiting on Board Officer’s report. Have an Organizing Assistant to communicate with this group.

- Dynamex Courier (Alberta) – speaking with consultant; may go by the wayside
- Fording Coal, Grande Cache – on file; tried to organize this same group approximately four (4) years ago and lost vote
- Winalta – all submissions are in; waiting for decision from CLRB. Have filed unfair.
